Get your music turned into a one-off vinyl record using our lathe cut dubplate service. All tracks are cut on our Vinyl Recorder T560 system to ensure the best possible results.
We use 2mm thick blank discs to create a heavyweight end product that feels slightly thicker than a pressed record. Our 10″ cuts weigh 120g and 12″ cuts weigh 180g, matching standard heavyweight pressed vinyl. They look and feel fantastic – a quality above what you might expect from a pressed vinyl record.
Ideal track lengths for cutting are:
7″ vinyl – 3 minutes @ 45rpm or 4 minutes @ 33rpm
10″ vinyl – 8 minutes @ 45rpm or 10 minutes @ 33rpm
12″ vinyl – 10 minutes @ 45rpm or up to 20 minutes @ 33rpm
Note: Track characteristics, such as lots of bass, can affect groove width and total length.
We cut at 45rpm as standard for the cleanest sound and least surface noise. 33rpm is only used when necessary and at the engineer’s discretion. If you’d like a specific speed, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm it works with your track lengths.
All lathe cut dubplates are supplied in a white cardboard sleeve, then sealed in a clear resealable plastic sleeve. Your dubplates will include our house labels by default unless you specify otherwise when ordering.
